The Little Learners Prep Program is an immersive and dynamic program designed to equip young learners with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to embark on their educational journey. This program, tailored specifically for rising PreK (age 4), Kindergarteners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders, serves as a "sneak peek" into the new school year, offering a stimulating and nurturing environment to foster your child's development. With a focus on enhancing cognitive, emotional, and social skills, as well as reading and math foundations, this program is an excellent opportunity for children to explore, learn, and grow before entering the structured academic setting this upcoming fall.

 

The Little Learners Prep Program features a carefully crafted curriculum that strikes a balance between structured learning and play-based exploration. Drawing inspiration from proven early childhood education practices as well as the Georgia Standards of Excellence, the program covers various domains of development to prepare children for a successful transition to the next grade.

 

Language and Literacy: Children engage in activities that promote pre-reading skills, including letter recognition, phonics, vocabulary building, and handwriting.  Older children will practice decoding multisyllabic words and will learn reading comprehension strategies. Storytelling sessions, interactive reading experiences, and hands-on writing exercises lay a solid foundation for language development.

 

Mathematics and Problem-Solving: Through games, puzzles, and manipulatives, learners develop number sense, basic mathematical concepts, and problem-solving skills. Counting, sorting, pattern recognition, and grade-level appropriate addition and subtraction activities enhance their logical reasoning abilities.

Science & Exploration: Young scientists will embark on an exhilarating journey of discovery through a variety of hands-on science experiments! From water experiments to creating colorful slime, our engaging activities are designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning. Through these experiments, children will not only have a blast but also develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.

 

Social and Emotional Development: Through cooperative play, team-building activities, and social interactions, children develop essential social skills such as sharing, empathy, conflict resolution, and communication. They learn to work collaboratively, respect differences, and develop a positive self-image. Students will enjoy participating in various activities such as arts and crafts, group games/activities, and technology usage.

This four-week summer program is $1200 per student (one-time fee) OR $350 per week ($280 the week of July 4th) which will include all camp fees as well as a daily snack.

 

Please note that all rising Pre-K students must be 4 years old by the start of the program to attend. The prep program will be closed on July 4th in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. Please note that due to the nature of the prep program, no refunds can be processed after the start of the camp on June 24th. All registration fees go towards the total amount of the program and are non-refundable.
