  • Site Manager

    Dr. Douglas Taylor brings over 16 years of experience in education, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, educational leader, and student support specialist. He holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction and has extensive experience supporting students across various grade levels and academic needs.

    Throughout his career, Dr. Taylor has specialized in classroom instruction, curriculum development, academic intervention, and student mentorship. His diverse background allows him to tailor instruction to meet students' individual learning needs while helping them strengthen their academic skills and confidence.

    Dr. Taylor believes that every student has the ability to learn and succeed when provided with meaningful instruction, encouragement, and individualized support. His tutoring approach emphasizes building positive relationships, using evidence-based instructional strategies, and fostering a growth mindset that empowers students to take ownership of their learning.

    As the Duluth Site Manager at Growing With Grace Tutoring, Dr. Taylor is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive learning environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

  • Assistant Site Manager/K-5 Math & ELA Tutor

    Caylon is a dedicated educator with over six years of experience as an Emotional Behavior Teacher and more than seven years as a private tutor. He holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University and is currently pursuing a Specialist degree in Special Education. Additionally, he holds a Gifted Certification, enabling him to support both high-achieving learners and those who benefit from targeted interventions.

    Caylon views his role as more than just providing academic support—he strives to empower every student to recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and become resilient, independent learners. Whether a child needs help catching up, staying on track, or moving ahead, Caylon is committed to guiding them every step of the way.

  • 1st-12th Grade Reading and Math Tutor

    Khalilah is an experienced educator and academic leader who holds a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. She brings years of experience working directly students of all ages, across a range of academic abilities and supporting students in strengthening their foundational skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities.

    Khaliliah believes every student can learn, but not every student learns in the same way. She focuses on meeting students where they are, identifying learning gaps, and breaking challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps while helping students make meaningful connections to real life.

    Her goal is to help students understand why an answer makes sense, build confidence in their abilities, and develop skills they can use independently in the classroom and beyond.

  • K-5th Reading and Math Tutor

    With over 30 years of experience in education, Pat brings a wealth of knowledge, warmth, and expertise to every tutoring session. Pat holds a master’s and specialist degree from the University of West Georgia in Elementary Education (P–8), Early Childhood Education (P–5), and Library Media (P–12). She spent her career serving in the Atlanta City School System before retiring — only to discover that she deeply missed teaching and supporting young learners. This led her back to her passion through part-time tutoring, where she continues to make a meaningful impact.

    Pat’s tutoring philosophy centers on inspiring and empowering students to become lifelong learners and confident critical thinkers. She creates a fun, nurturing environment where children feel safe asking questions, exploring new ideas, and celebrating their progress. She firmly believes that every student can succeed with the right support and guidance.

  • 6th-12th Math Tutor

    Gabriel is a math tutor with four years of tutoring experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, helping students of all ages build confidence and succeed in Algebra, Geometry, and advanced math. He is passionate about guiding students to their “aha!” moment and has extensive experience supporting a wide range of math skills, from foundational concepts to more advanced topics.

    He believes that when students understand the underlying logic, formulas become inevitable. Rather than relying on memorization or “plug-and-chug” methods, Gabriel focuses on helping students think critically and develop strong problem-solving skills, empowering them to approach math with confidence and independence.
